Sweet Pea Pacifier Clip: A Free Pattern

Spread the love

Since I am currently 26 weeks pregnant with our first baby, I can’t stop thinking about more baby things to make! I’m channeling a lot of creative energy towards making crocheted items for Baby Girl that I think we will actually need and use. I have really enjoyed scrolling through Pinterest and finding free patterns by other designers and wanted to design some items that you would love to make too. This is a quick, free pattern that makes a great baby shower gift, market make, or usable item for your own nursery.

Pacifier clips are really helpful to prevent losing a pacifier, especially because even the most coordinated baby sometimes drops the binky from their mouth. This is a huge pain for parents when they are out of the house and don’t want a pacifier to disappear on a walk or fall on the ground in the grocery store (can you even imagine how dirty it is…). Safety disclaimer: a pacifier clip should NOT be used when baby is sleeping. But it is a lifesaver in keeping track of pacifiers that otherwise go missing every other day.

After some research, I settled on some “suspender clips” that I could purchase online. The craft store was very hit-or-miss and the only clips I found in person were plastic and rainbow colored. This was definitely not the quality I was looking for or the aesthetic I wanted. However, it was surprisingly easy to find a small bulk amount of clips that I could use. I have already made a few clips for our Baby Girl, and I’m definitely going to make many more to list on my shop. You can order some ready-made pacifier clips here.

If you love the texture of this pacifier clip, check out some of my other Sweet Pea Collection designs that use the same stitch pattern.
