One of the best parts about yarn is seriously the squish. And what better way to harness that than by making a quick and easy infinity scarf that will match any outfit? Not to mention that this scarf is small enough that all you need to do is throw it on and go- no doubling up necessary. It also only takes less than an hour to whip up, and it’s texture is reversible, making it the perfect cold weather accessory!
This pattern takes approximately 120 of super bulky yarn, I used Lion Brand Yarn Thick & Quick in Fisherman. I also used a size N 10.00 mm crochet hook. This scarf is worked in the round with each round joined along a seam. You can also modify this pattern to make it smaller (more of a cowl) or longer so that it can be wrapped around your head multiple times.
Terminology:
- CH- chain
- HDC- half double crochet
- HDC in 3LO- half double crochet in third loop only
- SS- slip stitch
- FO- finish off
Pattern:
CH 55
SS to first CH to make a closed circle (be careful to not twist your chain)
Round 1: CH 1, (do not turn) HDC in each st around, SS to join the round (54)
Round 2: CH 1, (do not turn) HDC in 3LO of each st around, SS to join the round (54)
Round 3-12: repeat round 2 (54)
FO, weave in ends
You’re finished! Awesome job on completing a quick and squishy infinity scarf that will keep you cozy and stylish!
